Growing up, I was a thinker - reading mystery, fantasy, and chemistry books. At the same time, I was a terrible student, wouldn't submit my homework even if it was 90% finished and ended up in summer school every year from 6th grade through highschool. I didn't realize it until a year ago when I saw my 6th grade teacher's report card saying, "-he's a perfectionist". Even now, you won't see anything until I'm really happy with the product - the startup-perfectionist's curse.
After failing my way through college within 6 months, I finally decided to see how far I could go by testing myself. I went from F's and D's to C's to B's and C's to B's and A's to straight A's for the first time in my life. I realized that my potentiol was far more than I thought. What took control was my willingness to move forward regardless of the obstacles in front of me.
My career started, I was an intern in Washington D.C., fund-raising for politicians and working with many lobbiests. Over the next 6 years, I started companies in Asia, America, Europe - closing deals the two of the largest banks in that market, branched off into healthcare, winning international competitions through UNICEF, learned Datascience, Machine learning, Web Development, through bootcamps and Meetups, traveled the world to understand the differences and developed a cross-cultural skillset that I use for tackling problems.
What does that mean? That not only I, but all of us are limitless and it all depeneds on our willingness to drive towards our goals. As most don't know it, I will how them by applying what I've learned in different ways so we can at least a 5% incremental growth, piece-by-piece, person-by-person and apply my effort and skills - to change the world.
So now I'm pursuing a life long process of identifying problems, internalising and analysing ways for execution, and, once it makes sense, drive towards the goal until each part has achieved as close to perfection as I can get it. For those investors looking for unicorns, make sure your put your money on the right horse and move out of the way, because I'll drive it to glory.
At bootcamps, I found many with no affordable places to stay. With my hostel experiences, I combined the two.
